How To Love Your Pair
Welcome to MyPair
We're delighted you've chosen MyPair – your hand-crafted nipple prosthetics, made with care and realistic look on our mind.
What’s in Your Kit
- 1 pair of MyPair prosthetics
- 1 small bottle of medical-grade skin-safe adhesive (clear and fast-drying)
- 1 small bottle of gentle adhesive remover
Before First Use
Let's start with a simple patch test to ensure everything feels right for your skin:
- Apply a small drop of adhesive to the inside of your wrist.
- Wait 24 hours. If there's no irritation, you're good to go.
Skin Preparation
- Wash your chest area with mild soap and water.
- Dry thoroughly.
- If you have oily skin, gently wipe the area with 70% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton pad. Allow it to evaporate completely for the best adhesion.
Prosthetics Preparation
1. Gently wipe the area with 70% isopropyl alcohol so i is free of oils and lint. Allow it to evaporate completely for the best adhesion.
Application
1. Warm the prosthetic – gently flex it in your hands to bring it to body temperature.
2. Apply adhesive – spread a thin, even layer on the back of the prosthetic only.
3. Wait 30–60 seconds until it becomes tacky (sticky but not wet).
4. Align your areola position
5. Press from the center outward for 10 seconds.
6. Hold in place for 1–2 minutes to let it set securely.
To prevent lint collecting on the edges, lightly dust them with baby powder or talc – this helps keep things smooth.
Removal
- Apply a drop or two of remover onto the cotton bud (Q-tip) and apply to edges.
- Wait 30 seconds to soften the bond.
- Gently lift and peel an edge by rolling them slowly toward the center.
- Wipe your skin and the prosthetic with remover, then wash the prosthetic with mild soap and water. Air dry.
Storing for next time
To keep your MyPair prosthetics in top shape:
- Cleaning: Use mild soap and water after each use. Pat dry gently.
- Storage: Keep in the original case, flat, and away from heat or sunlight.
Quick fixes
Here are some common fixes to keep things smooth:
- Won’t stick: Re-clean the skin (try alcohol if oily). Use less adhesive and wait longer for it to get tacky.
- Edge lifting: Add a tiny dot of adhesive under the edge and press for 30 seconds.
- Lint on edges: Lightly brush with talc or baby powder.
- Sticky residue: Wipe with more remover, followed by soap and water.
- Adhesive dried in bottle: Always tighten the cap after use and store upright.
A Little Extra Care for Your MyPair
Your MyPair prosthetics are crafted from medical-grade platinum silicone – the same soft, skin-friendly material trusted in hospitals and high-end cosmetics. This makes them flexible, breathable, and incredibly realistic, while staying strong through daily wear.
That said, even the best silicone has its limits:
Please avoid:
- Pulling or tugging on the edges – this can cause small tears or stretching over time. Always peel gently, using the cotton buds with remover ( or your finger ) to gently roll the edges towards the center.
- Using sharp objects (fingernails, scissors, pins) near the prosthetic – a tiny nick can grow into a rip.
- Stretching the material when applying or adjusting – let the adhesive do the work.
- Exposing to extreme heat (hair dryers, hot car dashboards, saunas) – high temperatures can soften or deform the silicone.
- Soaking in harsh chemicals (acetone, bleach, strong detergents) – stick to mild soap and water for cleaning.
With gentle handling, your MyPair will stay smooth, intact, and ready for every moment – big or small.
About the Adhesive
The medical-grade adhesive in your kit is ( Telesis 8F ) silicone-based, hypoallergenic, fast-drying, and specifically chosen for sensitive skin and silicone prosthetics. It’s gentle, reliable, and perfect for getting started with MyPair.
